How to Join The Commanders Club of Michigan

Dear Applicant:

Prior to your appointment as an Honorary Commander and membership in The Commanders Club of Michigan (CDRs Club), you must attend at least two regular meetings of the CDRs Club with your sponsor. If you do not have a sponsor, contact the Commanders Club’s Administrative Assistant (cdramandaoboza@gmail.com)

and request that a member of the Membership Committee contact you regarding joining the CDRs Club. When you attend the two regular meetings, it will give you the opportunity to learn about the CDRs Club and for CDRs Club members to get to know you.  Once you have attended at least tow regular meetings, you may begin the membership process.

To begin the member ship process, you must obtain and complete the Application Form for the CDRs Club and pay a non-refundable $100.00 application fee. You must also agree to a criminal background check and sign the consent form, attached to the application. You must also attach a copy of your credit report from one of the three (3) credit bureaus (Experian, Equifax, or Transunion); you shall blackout the first five (5) digits of your Social Security Number (SSN). The Membership Committee will then review and investigate the information contained in your application.

Your sponsor is available to assist you with this process and can provide you with information to begin your journey towards becoming an Honorary Commander. Upon commissioning, you will be expected to learn the proper wearing of the uniforms of a Navy Commander (05), Navy standards. customs and traditions along with the structure and operation of the United States Navy. It's an undertaking that the CDRs Club hopes you'll find interesting and rewarding.
